Ann was born in Faribault, MN and attended Mankato State University (now Minnesota State University – Mankato) where she earned a BS in Business Administration. After graduation she moved to the Twin Cities working for a bank and then moved into sales and Sales management with Xerox Corporation. With travel that consisted of over 50% she decided to follow her dream of having her own business. She left the corporate world and purchased a Pets Are Inn franchise and 5 years later purchased the national rights from the founder.

Volunteering is in her DNA as her mother was the consummate volunteer and Ann has followed in her footsteps. In addition to being on the board of the Southdale YMCA board and served as the board chair for two years. Ann has been involved with many committees since she joined the Edina Rotary Club in September 2002 for the Edina Rotary including director for local grants, TRF and a committee member Public Image, Local community projects and served on the executive team from 2013 to 2018 and president 2016-17.She was on the Edina Rotary Foundation Board. Ann along with Debby Belfry are co Assistant Governors for Area 3 for Rotary District 5950.

Jim, her husband, who is also a Rotarian, live in Edina with their miniature schnauzer, Greta.
