PROP: People Reaching out to People
PROP provides nourishment to people in our community experiencing food insecurity. PROP also offers comprehensive support to Eden Prairie and Chanhassen residents facing financial, housing or employment insecurity so that they may reach their goals for a more secure tomorrow.

The first time a person or family approaches PROP for services, they seek to understand the circumstances that have led to their need for food or financial help. PROP then provide assistance to alleviate the immediate crisis and connect clients with other resources, within and outside of PROP, to help them move toward stability. PROP offer clients help for today, and hope and ongoing support for tomorrow as they strive to achieve their goals.

PROP's case managers work with clients to design action plans to address barriers that prevent them from moving forward. Barriers could include unemployment, transportation, lack of affordable childcare, language skills, and lack of education or training. Quarterly check-ins provide an opportunity for clients to assess their progress.

Let's Go Fishing!
The Eden Prairie Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing was created to enrich the lives of seniors age 55 and older by providing free fishing & boating excursions that strengthen communities, build relationships and create memories.  Our Club provides financial and volunteer support to this great organization.
Eden Prairie Community Center Sculpture
Our club provided a donation of time and money to the City of Eden Prairie for the “Soaring Bird: Peace through Service” sculpture which was completed in 2013.  The Eden Prairie Noon Rotary supported the Eden Prairie Morning Rotary Club on this project.

The piece was designed by Eden Prairie resident and sculptor Jim Gabbert. The plaque that accompanies the sculpture says it is a symbol of the Rotary's dedication to promote peace.
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization committed to feeding children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship these meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

Eden Prairie Noon Rotary members volunteer several times a year to pack meals for relief efforts around the world.  It is fun, collaborative and rewarding group experience.  Join us next time for this worthwhile effort.

Valley View Road Cleanup
Every Spring and Fall, members of EP Noon Rotary spend an hour or two walking along Valley View Road picking up litter and trash.  What a great event to provide a community service by cleaning up a portion of Valley View Road, while getting some fresh air, and walking and talking with other Rotarian friends.  Watch for dates on the calendar, and join us!
Warm Heads, Warm Hands, Warm Hearts
Warm Heads, Warm Hands, Warm Hearts is our chance to provide hats, mittens and gloves to members of our own community.  By partnering with other Rotarians in the District, we can buy hundreds, thousands of hats and gloves at very low cost, and distribute them to needy individuals in Eden Prairie.

This program was started by one Rotarian who saw a need in his community, and now it has spread throughout central Minnesota.  Over the past several years, Eden Prairie Noon Rotary has shared the warmth by handing out over 2,000 hats, gloves and mittens.
