Reading Partners

The EP Noon Rotary is excited to volunteer in Eden Prairie elementary schools to spark a love of reading and help students thrive as readers. 

We believe this partnership can make a meaningful impact for students, and we’re looking forward to what we can accomplish together.

What Reading Partners do:

• Support students through independent reading conferences.
• Building oral language skills by discussing books.
• 1-5 days/week for 30 minutes at a regular time in alignment with school schedule.

Volunteer Application & Background Check

• Volunteer Application: Before you begin working with students, you will need to complete a volunteer application using this link
• Background Check: After your application is submitted, the district Human Resources Department will send you a link to complete the background check.  Background checks are $21. If this cost is a barrier to your participation, please indicate on the application that you need assistance and the fee will be waived. We can also help to support you with any part of this process during the training in January.

Volunteers will be placed at school sites beginning early February.  

We’re excited about the momentum of this pilot program and optimistic that it will grow, expand, and lead to more training sessions ahead.
