Understanding Low Back Pain

Dr. Rohaan Mehta is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Management. He came to Minnesota in 2007 after completing his residency and fellowship training at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. He serves as a Medical Director of Specialty Care at North Memorial Health and also practices at Mankato Clinic. Dr. Mehta has more than 18 years of experience helping patients with spine disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. He is passionate about patient education, physician leadership, and advancing evidence-based care.

Low back pain is one of the most common medical conditions and affects nearly everyone at some point in life. Dr. Mehta will discuss some of the common causes of low back pain, explain how these conditions are diagnosed, review treatment options, and highlight symptoms that require urgent medical attention. He will also provide a brief look at some of the advanced pain management techniques reserved for patients with intractable pain.
