So far, we have four guests registered for our Get Together on March 3. Our goal is ten guests so we are almost halfway there. Please make sure you've invited your friends, neighbors, relatives, sports parents, church buddies and anyone else you can think of to the event. They will get free beer and appetizers and will learn about the Rotary in a very informal setting. Please encourage them to register for the event.
Join us on Thursday, February 26, for a presentation by Barbara Gosse on acupuncture.
She is a faculty clinician for the Bloomington Natural Care Center and assistant professor at the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. She has practiced acupuncture and Oriental medicine for more than 18 years and has extensive experience working in diverse environments. Her practice experience includes working in hospital-based clinics, the prison system, drug treatment programs, and with homeless and refuge populations.
The diversity in her practice has taught her to approach health care with a greater compassion and understanding for her patients' conditions. Her experience has also provided her with a more comprehensive understanding of a person’s body, mind and spiritual health. In addition to her practice, she supervises student interns for the University’s teaching clinics.
Our Rotary Club has been in the news this last week. There were two articles in the Eden Prairie News this last Thursday, February 19th.
Our Get Together to recruit new club members on March 3 was featured on page 11 of the printed paper and also online at the EP News website
Patty Dexter interviewed John Steinlicht about the FEPS grant for My Book Day. The article was placed on page 2 of the printed paper and also online at the website.
Press coverage is great for the club. The exposure helps the community to understand our mission and recruit new members at no cost to the organization. Thanks to all that contributed to this effort.
