Everest Base Camp Trek

One of our club members, Martin Rathjen, trekked the 80 mile round trip to Everest Base Camp at 17,600’ in the Himalayas of Nepal.  He’ll share trip stories including: the sound a glacier makes, helicopter flights due to inclement weather, pulmonary edema, Khumbu Cough, the Yak Super Highway, Lukla – the world’s most dangerous airport, and more.
