What an inspiring day celebrating the joy of reading at My Book Day! 📚✨ First graders from across the district were warmly welcomed by the high school principal and treated to an unforgettable morning filled with music from a choir, orchestra, and band, a robotics club demonstration, and even a hair-raising science experiment! Two high school students shared heartfelt messages about the importance of reading and learning, reminding everyone how books can open doors to endless possibilities. A special highlight was welcoming special guest John Jorgenson, founder of My Book Day, who flew in from Wyoming to celebrate with students and Rotarians. And of course, every first grader received a brand-new book when they returned to their classroom, to take home and treasure. In total, 581 books were distributed to first graders across the district, along with additional books for teachers — more than 600 books altogether!
