2024-09-14 00:00:00Z	Sep. 13, 2024		PROP Pop Up			Sep. 14, 2024 - Sep. 15, 2024			PROP POP UP September 14 & 15 PROP has asked us to help fundraise and awareness-raise for them at CUB Chanhassen on either September 14th or the 15th. EPNR members/guests can pick a 2-hour shift to: Bag groceries, or Work the "POP UP Booth" to promote the great work PROP does for our community. Our pop-up volunteers will be stationed a table at the front of the store with PROP information, have the ability to collect donations, and be handing out pre-packaged bags for customers to buy and donate to PROP. 2024-09-15 00:00:00Z	Sep. 14, 2024		Mammoth Caves - Service & Fun			Sep. 15, 2024 - Sep. 20, 2024			An informal group of Rotarians from three different clubs are planning a volunteer service trip to Mammoth Caves in KY. The trip will be from Sept 15-20 and will entail trail clearing and clean-up for a couple of days at the National Park. In addition, we will visit the caves and will also plan a Bourbon Tour before we head back home. Rotarians from the Chanhassen Club (Tim Mulcrone and maybe some others) and the Waconia Club (Ron Axel and maybe some others) will also be involved. We have also reached out to the Horse Cave KY Rotary Club in hopes of connecting with members of that club during our visit. This is a low-key, informal volunteer opportunity and not a formal project of any of the clubs. It is a little bit of service, some fun and best of all connecting with a few like minded Rotarians from different clubs. Let either Tom Thorfinson or Amanda Ottman know if you are interested.	View
2024-09-19 00:00:00Z	Sep. 18, 2024		Ann Platt	Pets are Inn		Sep. 19, 2024			Ann was born in Faribault, MN and attended Mankato State University (now Minnesota State University – Mankato) where she earned a BS in Business Administration. After graduation she moved to the Twin Cities working for a bank and then moved into sales and Sales management with Xerox Corporation. With travel that consisted of over 50% she decided to follow her dream of having her own business. She left the corporate world and purchased a Pets Are Inn franchise and 5 years later purchased the national rights from the founder. Volunteering is in her DNA as her mother was the consummate volunteer and Ann has followed in her footsteps. In addition to being on the board of the Southdale YMCA board and served as the board chair for two years. Ann has been involved with many committees since she joined the Edina Rotary Club in September 2002 for the Edina Rotary including director for local grants, TRF and a committee member Public Image, Local community projects and served on the executive team from 2013 to 2018 and president 2016-17.She was on the Edina Rotary Foundation Board. Ann along with Debby Belfry are co Assistant Governors for Area 3 for Rotary District 5950. Jim, her husband, who is also a Rotarian, live in Edina with their miniature schnauzer, Greta.	View
