Volunteer: Iftar Event
Wednesday, March 19, 6 – 8:30pm
The EP Human Rights Commission is asking for 3-4 volunteers to help with setup and take down of their Iftar event, including dining area setup and cleanup.
Our club made a $500 donation to the EP Human Rights Commission to help fund the event which:
- is designed to bring neighbors together as members of the Muslim faith break the daily fast during Ramadan.
- takes place in the lower-level Garden room and Heritage rooms at City Hall.
- consists of an initial gathering time, followed by time for prayer that can be observed by all. Then there is the breaking of the fast followed by a dinner catered by Afro Deli.
